How to use a free applicant survey for better hiring

I use the free service at http://polldaddy.com to create an applicant survey (limited to 10 questions with the free version)

it really helps to,

  • screen applicants better to save time in the interview process
  • begin outlining expectations by listing minimal requirements
  • keep the interview process professional without being too formal
  • can be posted on ad pages such as craigslist or sent by email
  • meet the changing climate of online applicants
we cover,
  • age eligibility for hiring needs
  • outlining requirements for working weekends and holidays
  • determining availability
  • guest service experience
  • ability to meet presentation guidelines
  • cash handling experience

keep in mind to adhere to the appropriate hiring legal requirements in your state

here is the link to our survey to see the questions http://polldaddy.com/s/E1F4275E3A9C6A4D

Please let me know if you decide to use an applicant survey too!

p.s. I have started to use an interview schedule document thru Google docs to have applicants pick their own interview time from a list of structured times
